Due to non-compliance with obligations under the amendment to the Act No. 513/1991 Coll. Commercial Code from 2019, a significant number of legal persons have been stricken off from the Slovak Republic´s Business Register (“Register”) last November.
The mentioned amendment set out new conditions, which resulted in the companies’ strike off from the Register. That was the reason why 12,170 legal persons were dissolved as to 23 November, 2021. In that regard Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic called upon all dissolved persons to contact them, if they believe that their strike off from the Register was not supposed to occur. Despite the low number of respondents, the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic suggested a possibility to renew the companies’ registration, which would allow them to continue in their business activities.
In this respect, the Government of the Slovak Republic approved another amendment to the Act No. 513/1991 Coll. Commercial Code, through which the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic proposes a possibility to renew the company's registration in the Register.
All dissolved legal persons´ registration can be renewed if the following conditions are met:
