#130Simplifying the payment of insurance premiums for employers

On September 19th, 2024, Social Insurance Office introduced the first phase of the payment gateway in the eServices system. The introduced innovation is a response to the simplification of processes for employers in connection with the payment of insurance premiums for employees.

Now, after submitting the monthly statement and the insurance premium statement for employees, employers will be able to pay the insurance premium in the next step via the online environment of the Social Insurance Office, available in the "Position Payer" service. Employers will be able to pay the insurance premium within the first stage for the first time in the period 09/2024.

The most significant advantages related to the introduction of the new system in eServices are:

1. streamlining the process of submitting a statement to the Social Insurance Office without the need to use other employer software or enter payments in internet banking;
2. minimization of errors in the transcription of data in Internet banking, which will be entered automatically by the new system.

In accordance with the newly introduced change in the area of ​​simplifying processes for employers, the introduction of the first phase of the payment gateway in the eServices system will ensure more efficient and faster payment execution and at the same time eliminate errors when copying data, such as the account number or variable symbol, which will already be pre-filled in the payment gateway.

In the near future, Social Insurance Office intends to expand its functionality with other payment options, such as the option to pay insurance premiums from self-employed persons or the option to pay arrears of insurance premiums or payments from an installment plan.
