#26Changes in the regime of entry into the territory of the Slovak Republic

In the context of mediated information, changes in the regime of entry into the territory of the Slovak Republic can be expected from 09.07.2021. According to the latest developments in the spread of mutations in the COVID-19 virus, the following measures should be introduced, inter alia:

From Monday, July 5, Slovakia will be in II. phase according to the newly introduced "alert system". This will mean introducing intensive border controls. Most persons entering the territory of Slovakia will pass this inspection. Check times should depend on the category (size, frequency of traffic) of the border crossing point. Some small, less important places for crossing internal borders will be closed. When crossing the border, the police will check the vaccination and completion, resp. registration in the "eHranica" system.

The division of countries according to their risk in terms of epidemic situation is abolished. When arriving from abroad, it will only be deciding whether a person is vaccinated - different criteria will apply to those who are vaccinated, others to those who are not.

The obligation for each person after crossing the border will be to register in the "eHranica" system, and for unvaccinated people, a 14-day quarantine, resp. mandatory 5-day quarantine terminated by a negative PCR test.

A fully vaccinated person means:

  1. Persons after administration of the vaccine with a two-dose schedule: 14 days after administration (day 15) of the second dose, valid for 1 year;
  2. Persons after administration of the vaccine with a single dose schedule: 21 days after administration (day 22) of the vaccine, valid for 1 year;
  3. Persons after overcoming COVID-19: 14 days after the first dose of vaccine within 180 days after overcoming COVID-19, valid for 1 year

Freight transport should have exemptions from the control, exceptions from those who cannot be vaccinated for really serious health reasons and pregnant women who choose not to be vaccinated. All other exceptions are abolished, including the exceptions in the commuter mode - they will still need a vaccination card, otherwise, they will have to go to quarantine.
